Screw democracy!

"Oh Tony! I love it when you talk dirty...!"

“Oh Tony! I love it when you talk dirty…!”

Unsurprisingly, yesterday’s speech on Brexit by the discredited ex-pM Tony Blair has been met with vociferous condemnation – except from other seriously deluded people like Nicola Sturgeon and Tim Farron of course…

So, let’s look at the main points he was making in an attempt to resurrect his political corpse :

(1) ‘We didn’t understand what we were voting for‘ – Well I don’t know about you, but I knew exactly what I was voting for, and that’s taking this country out from under the jackboot of the Fourth Reich and all that is entailed in that!

(2) ‘I can honestly say that during all my time as PM there was no major domestic law that I wanted to pass which Europe told me I couldn’t‘ was Blair argument about the ECJ. He claimed that no-one could possibly use the ECJ as an argument for leaving the EU. Trouble is, Mr Blair, that you’re deliberately misrepresenting the facts. The ECJ might have never stopped you enacting one of your laws, but they sure as hell prevented us from not implementing one of theirs.

(3) Migration is not, according to Blair, a major issue. Well he would say that wouldn’t he? He’s the guy that failed to implement interim measures to prevent a flood of immigrants from eastern Europe. He’s the guy that went out of his way to flood the country with immigrants so they would all vote Labour. We don’t want to ban immigration, we just want it controlled by the UK instead of Brussels!

(4) ‘The two great achievements of British diplomacy of the last decades in Europe – namely the single market and European enlargement – are now apparently the two things we most regret and want to rid ourselves of.’ Well, he got that one spot on. These are exactly why many of us voted to leave. We don’t mind the single market and you don’t have to be in it to trade with it. China and America aren’t in the single market but it doesn’t stop them selling into it. And we definitely don’t want to be a region of Federal Europe.

(5) Scotland will go their own way – Well, to be honest, if the whole of the UK had had a say, Scotland would already be on it’s own way. Scotland voted to remain in the EU AND the UK. Give Sturgeon her second referendum. Polls in Scotland now reveal that less people support independence that last time round so go on. I dare you!

(6) ‘[Brexit] will not mean more money for the NHS but less‘ – absolute bollocks! We’ll be billions better off without the EU so how the hell does he work this one out? And let’s bear in mind that it was Blair who gave away the rebate that Thatcher fought so hard to get…

(7) ‘Negotiation should include the possibility of Britain staying in a reformed Europe‘ – Get real Mr Blair. The EU is NOT going to reform. You know that perfectly well and so do we.

(8) Brexiteers ‘will say leaving is inevitable. It isn’t.’ Er, yes it is Tony because once Article 50 is triggered, we on our way. There is no mechanism for cancelling it.

(9) Remainers should ‘rise up‘ against the government. Well, I thought we had laws against incitement to riot in this country and calls to overthrow the elected government were treason last time I looked, so Blair needs to watch his words carefully. We know Heath lied when he took us in and it seems to me that Blair’s interpretation of the facts is somewhat debatable?

Interestingly, the latest ICM polls reveal that there is a clear majority of 68 per cent of voters wanting ministers to get on with implementing the EU referendum result. Significantly, more Remain voters agree than disagree, at 42 per cent compared with 33 per cent.

A separate survey showed 74 per cent of the public view Mr Blair unfavourably, compared with just 14 per cent who like him. Remain supporters are also heavily against him. This would seem to indicate that Mr Blair’s scantily concealed launch of a new political party with him as it’s head brooks little popular support, but then that never did stop Teflon Tony.

There was a great comment from Caroline Lucas – a person with who I cannot recall a single solitary occasion of agreeing with until now. She said ‘To be perfectly frank it would be better if Blair butted out and left this debate to people who haven’t betrayed the trust of British people‘ Quite so!

But my final word on this goes to Norman Tebbitt, who simply said ‘Tony Blair should go back to doing what he does best – making money and crawling up the backsides of foreign governments.’ I think that sums it up nicely, Norman…

Will Brexit ever happen?

Tony Blair - wrong then, wrong now...

Tony Blair – wrong then, wrong now…

Frankly, I’m beginning to have my doubts about whether Brexit will ever happen. As Nigel Farage said earlier today, there is a cesspit of politics in Westminster with an administration dominated by politicians who want to stay in the EU.

Earlier, it was mooted by the Fourth Reich that even after we have left we will have to accept freedom of movement and continue to contribute to the EU budget for a further 10 years. Exactly how the fuck do these people work out that after you have resigned from a club, you have to keep on paying your subscription!?! The question is not only where they find the these lunatics (I know. They’re in Brussels!) but how in hell did they reach that conclusion? I can only assume it’s Project Fear yet-a-bloody-gain!

And now UK President-elect wannabe Tony fucking Blair is sticking his oar in. Reportedly bankrolled by, amongst others, Richard Branson, he’s returning to front line politics in order to shape the UK response to Brexit – or in other words to pressure the UK government into doing what he wants and finding ways to defy the will of the British people expressed in a democratic referendum. A Whitehall source revealed Mr Blair has already held meetings with George Osborne, the former Chancellor, to discuss post-Brexit “political climate.”

So two discreditted has-beens are sticking their beaks in. It’s becoming clear to me that the lunatics really are in charge of the asylum…

So if we’re going to go completely off the rails, here’s a suggestion for Donald Trump : how about you make Nigel Farage the US ambassador to the EU? That should wake the fuckers up!

Gi’es us a job, Tone…

"Dickhead? Moi...?"

“Dickhead? Moi…?”

So, as Call-me-Dave scrabbles towards the inevitable failure of his futile renegotiation in an attempt to curb migration to the UK, we hear from his illustrious predecessor, Tony ‘call-me-God’ Blair.

It seems that the Mighty Tone reckons that his policy of inviting all and sundry to invade this sceptred isle was a good thing as employment data showed two million EU workers have jobs in the UK. How exactly is this good, Tone???

Employment data out yesterday showed the number of EU workers with jobs in Britain grew by 200,000 in 2015 and now stands at 2.1 million. Blair said: ‘Economic migration is good, with appropriate rules. It has been seen in the US, as in Britain.’ Donald Trump might disagree with that one.

There are now around 1,000,000 Eastern Europeans working in the UK – and that’s just the legal ones. The EU worker total has topped 2,000,000 for the first time. In the last year, over 40,000 Romanians and Bulgarians have moved here. No wonder the Eastern European countries are keen to block Cameron’s so-called deal…

Blair also reckons that the ‘interest’ of the UK staying in the EU should be ‘evident to all’. Well the thing is, Tone, it ain’t bloody evident to me! We’re sinking under the weight of EU migrants workers, EU red tape, and EU interference in our laws and sovereignty.

I always knew that Blair was a self interested, egotistical wanker with a lack of grip on reality, but now the bloody fool has opened his mouth and proved it yet again…

Is Cameron really a Time Lord ?

Proof has emerged that The Doctor is alive and well and living amongst us.

These dramatic pictures were taken behind doors in Downing Street as the 83rd Doctor, Tony Blair, regenerated into David Cameron.

This explains why these two men’s thinking is so alien to most of the population.

Of course, you might doubt this unassailable evidence as the two men have been seen side by side by the public in the past, but let’s not forget that the Tardis – stored safely away in the Number 10 basement – is a time travelling machine so it’s quite possible for a Time Lord to be in two places at the same time.

Speculation is now mounting as to whether Iain Duncan-Smith is just another alien regeneration and whether Jeremy Corbyn is really The Master…

Blimey! Politicians with principles!

No, I’m not referring to the two twats in the picture above – I’m referring to the Labour party parliamentary candidates who refused to accept donations to their fighting funds from Tony Blair.

Blair has donated £106,000 from the millions he has milked since leaving Downing Street to a fighting fund to help Labour win the election. In a letter to 106 candidates in key battleground seats, Blair said:

As the final countdown to the general election begins, I am writing to wish you every success in your efforts to be elected and also to make a donation to your campaign. I know how hard it can be to raise money to fund a local campaign, but for you, in one of our 106 battleground seats, it is even more vital. This is where the election will be won for Labour and that is why I am making a donation to all 106 campaigns.’

Initially, Labour said they were delighted by Blairs donation, but then it all went wrong. Activists are unhappy about accepting money from a man who has made millions out of leading Labour and who many perceive as a war criminal and hypocrite.

Dundee East candidate Lesley Brennan said her constituency would not be accepting the money. She said: ‘Received donation from Tony Blair. Instinct was to not accept. Discussed with team. Dundee East is not accepting the £1000.’

Northampton candidate Sally Keeble has also turned down the money. She said: ‘The £1,000 donations are being offered to key seats – of which we were one. I have emailed them back to say we won’t be accepting.’

Then Blair’s former mouthpiece, Alastair Campbell, decided to throw his two pennuth worth in on his Twitter account branding the candidates refusing to accept the money as ‘attention seekers’ and asking them ‘do you want to win?’ One Twitter twat asked Campbell ‘Is there anyone who’s money you would not accept?’ to which I suspect the honest answer would be ‘no’.

Campbell replied ‘Of course there is’ (really, Alistair?) ‘but the Party’s most successful leader is not amongst them.’ The reply came back ‘Short term success. Awful legacy. Refusing money from war criminals is not attention seeking.’ Campbell retorted that people like him can’t see past their own prejudices. Rather like the pot calling the kettle black, Alistair?

Still, the arch spin doctor will probably tell you there’s no such thing as bad publicity and at least it puts him back in the limelight, something I suspect Campbell can’t bear to do without being the self publicist he is.

Well, you might not have many principles, Mr Campbell, but it’s refreshing to see that at least some people in the Labour Party do – even if your former leader doesn’t.
