Our childrens’ future in the EU

Desperation is a wonderful thing – and the neverendum is seeing a fair old amount of that at the moment.

The Speaker of the House, John Bercow – of whom most of us have a rather low opinion – invited a load of kids to the House to debate the EU. The 100 children aged between seven and 14 were joined in their debate by David Campbell Bannerman, a Conservative member of the European Parliament, and Lucy Thomas, deputy director of Britain Stronger in Europe, who took questions after the debate.

Needless to say the Leave campaign were not represented so unsurprisingly they voted 74% in favour of remaining. They were then paraded all over the national news and the press before being sent home to badger their parents. Not being funny, but I really wouldn’t expect my 8 year old grandson to debate the EU with me or to really understand the issues involved – so apart from the obvious snide publicity, what exactly was the bloody point?

Then just when you think it couldn’t get worse, it did because Sky News joined in by inviting a couple of the kids to the studio to tell us what they think. Given that they’d already been brainwashed by Bercow and Co it’s hardly surprising they said they wanted to stay in the EU is it?

But the piece-de-resistance for me was when the little lad was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up. Engine driver? Brain surgeon? Pop superstar? Rich and Famous? No. None of the above. He wants to be a charity worker.

When asked why, he explained that it was because he wanted to help all the poor migrants come to Britain so they could have a better life.

I fucking despair…

  1. Taking a page from another pressure group maybe.

  2. rapscallion

Well, what the fuck did you expect Dioclese? This is the result of 50 years of cultural marxism, the gradual salami-slicing, and tiny step by step erosion of common sense and pragmatism. That little boy is a victory for those who want to destroy this country.

    You reap what you sow

  3. They like audiences with children, nobody asks any difficult questions to expose their deceit and chicanery. Young minds to manipulate to future proof their continuation at the trough.

  4. I also seem to remember the Catholic Church saying “Get ’em young enough and you’ve got ’em for life!”

  5. So now we are being made to suffer the little children, this government and the media are well known for there underhanded manipulation of children. To them they are just cannon fodder.

  6. “…wouldn’t expect my 8 year old grandson to debate the EU…”

Why not? I’m sure he’d be more succinct and rational than the two twats of Downing Street.

  7. How low can the politicians stoop? How wretched they are. Although I live in a foreign land I have taken not a disenterested view in the debate. My hope the vote is nay, if nothing more than see the wretched politicians squirm.

  8. At least the lad said his Mum was voting leave, and she does have the vote.

  9. Reprehensible doesn’t even come close to describing this behaviour.
