Oban

Here is our home for the next week or so – a ship called the Hebridean Princess which we join today in the port of Oban after a transfer from Glasgow airport.

It’s a nice little ship with a complement of 50 guests accommodated in 30 cabins. She has a crew of 38. You might recognise her as she is the ship that was chartered by HM the Queen now that she doesn’t have a royal yacht at her disposal.

Tonight is an informal night while we settle in to life on board.

  1. Great pity about the weather though. If the beeb's right, it's pretty awful for as far as they can predict, with nasty winds on land and presumably somewhat higher at sea.

Presumably they've got a well stocked bar with lots of niche single malts.

  2. Malts make any trip a joy! Have a great time.
